Crescent Skirt fabric

I'm going for this:

It's a lightweight cotton, Parkside by Running Rhino for the Erlanger group. After dithering for ages and spending far too much time on the internet looking at fabric, I realised that actually there was probably something in my stash... and I was right!

I bought it ages ago and had originally earmarked it for a quilt as it's beautifully soft. It's a bit of a bright, summery print - more so than I would usually go for but I love it and think it's perfect for my holiday coming up in Italy this summer!

I was initially going for something in a heavier weight but after reading this post and discovering that quilting cottons are ok, I plumped for this. It's washed and ready to sew! I'm itching to get started. In the meantime, I'm working on something which should have been a really simple project but is turning out to be quite tricky and is causing A LOT OF SWEARING AND SHOUTING and going back and trimming and re-pinning and generally scratching my head. Hopefully will have a finished article next week....

Enjoy the sunshine everyone!
